"I am sending this card as a small sign of my appreciation. I could never even begin to explain what it means to me or how it has changed my life and familys life. Three years ago to me life wasnt worth living, I hated myself. Looking in the mirror was a constant sign of the cancer. I just felt like a freak. Now I feel feminine again, a woman but more importantly a wife and mother. The reconstruction has given me my life back and my daughter, her mother. It has given me a confidence I couldnt begin to explain. I show my new breast to any ladies at the Walsall Breast Cancer Support Group to give them an idea of how it will look. They are always amazed at how perfect it is. I am so in awe of your work, you are such a lovely lady who has such a wonderful bedside manner, making us feel comfortable and confident. I am so glad there are surgeons like yourself to put us ladies back together. I feel that thank you isnt a big enough word but at the moment it is all I have. I would like you to know that if there is ever anything I could do to help you or other patients you know please do not hesitate to contact me. The other day my 7 year old daughter said to me mom when you get your nipple you will be like all the other mommies and then well be able to forget about the cancer. I think this says it all. Thank you."
