Many of my patients who come for breast surgery have no clue about their current bra size. Many wear a wrong bra size, particularly the chest width. This makes discussion about what size they want to be and what bra size to buy for after surgery tricky.
My husband found the following video on Youtube and suddenly bra measuring is as easy as ABC. p>
This is the conventional way of measuring bra. Unfortunately, there are some specialty bra shops like Bravissimo who like to size the chest width as it is without adding the 5 inches. The cup size than ends up much bigger.
I do personally prefer the conventional method otherwise the bra tends to end up being too tight after surgery and cuts into the scar in the breast crease.
Try measuring your own breast and see if you are wearing the right size bra. Feedback to me on Facebook to agree or disagree.
