Fat injections have been successfully used in facial rejuvenation over the past decade. Recent data from our French and Italian Plastic Surgeon colleagues have shown that in selected patients, it is very safe and indeed very effective in breast reconstruction and enlargement.
In my own practice, I've noticed in the last two years a marked increase in the use of fat injections in the face as well as the breast.

There is a great push in the number of workshops across the USA and certain European countries for cosmetic breast enlargement with patient's own fat. The whole emphasis of using excess body fat rather than implants is, of course, an emotive one. The simple concept of taking fat from one part of the body and placing it in another area of the body can deliver impressive results but, success rate is highly dependant on technique and surgeon.
