Kat & Co is proud to be one of the ten plastic surgery units in the country to be recognised as a BAAPS Aesthetic Mentorship training centre. The BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) scheme offers mentorship to plastic surgeons who have completed their training in the NHS and wish to learn more about working in the private healthcare service.
We were selected for our reputation as a clinic that is continually driving clinical excellence and safe patient care. We can offer mentees a safe, supportive space to continue their early career development, all under the guidance of our experienced team of Plastic Surgeons, ENT Surgeons, and Aesthetic Doctors.
During her time with us, Maria will receive tailored teaching and observation in the operating theatre, in clinic as well as the running of a private practice. She will also participate in audit and research, with a view to presentations and publications of the wonderful work that we do here at Kat & Co.
The scheme provides an ongoing long-term training and supportive relationship with the aim to create a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.
Maria is a fully accredited UK trained Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. She is registered with the General Medical Council and following the completion of her training within the North West Deanery she was awarded the FRCS( Plast) and entered the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
She has completed a number of prestigious fellowships including a breast reconstruction fellowship at University of British Columbia, in Vancouver Canada, and a microsurgery fellowship at St.Thomas and Guys Hospital in London. She has also undertaken dedicated aesthetic training in private hospitals in Manchester, Liverpool and Cheshire and at the Cadogan Clinic in London, under the BAAPS mentorship scheme.
Throughout her training, Maria has developed a special interest in breast reconstructive microsurgery and aesthetic surgery, working with renowned plastic surgeons to refine her skills so as to deliver the best possible care for her patients. At Kat & Co, she intends to pursue her interests in breast aesthetic surgery and facial aesthetics.
Maria has published several articles in peer-reviewed plastic surgery journals and presented nationally and internally.
