We are delighted to announce that our new Twilight Anaesthesia�service is now up and running at Kat & Co.
This new service starts a whole new chapter for our surgical services, allowing us to carry out more invasive surgery as day cases at our Calthorpe Road Clinic in Birmingham.
Twilight Anaesthesia (also known as conscious sedation) is a form of anaesthesia that can be controlled so that you are asleep but still able to breath by yourself which means there is no need for intubation as with a General Anaesthetic.
The aim of Twlight Anaesthesia is to keep you asleep, pain free and comfortable during your procedure whilst allowing you to wake up quicker afterwards and encounter little of the side effects of a general anaesthetic afterwards.
This new service to Kat & Co means we can provide more surgical procedures at our Calthorpe Road Clinic that would previously have required an overnight stay in hospital. Procedures including breast surgery, face lifts and body contouring can now be done as day cases resulting in a faster recovery for patients as well as reducing the overall cost.
