Mr Andrej Salibi highlights the benefits of the two stitch mini facelift

Mr Andrej Salibi is an expert in the two stitch mini facelift procedure having trained in some of the most prestigious plastic surgery units across the UK including the world famous Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow and the Pulvertaft Centre in Derby.

What is a two stitch mini facelift?

The two stitch mini facelift is a procedure that enhances and rejuvenates the lower part of your face (the so called jowls). It is an advanced version of a conventional thread lift, including the removal of excess skin and targeting the deeper structures of the face for improved longevity and more dramatic results.

It is a great procedure for patients who want a more subtle result and those who are not ready for a full facelift.

What to expect during your consultation?

Your consultation will include the following:

  • Discussion about your aims and expectations
  • Questions about your general health and past medical history
  • Clinical examination and photography
  • Discussion about the most suitable facelift procedure to match your aims and expectations.

Am I suitable for this procedure?

Anyone with prominent jowls in the lower face is suitable for a two stitch mini facelift.

What are the advantages of the two stitch mini facelift?

This procedure is minimally invasive and can be performed under local anaesthesia, reducing the recovery time needed. Patients can typically return back to work after 14 days. The scars are well hidden within the hairline and the junction between the ears and the face. The risks of complications are also lower compared to a full facelift.

The results are immediate, but subtle and effective in lifting and tightening the skin along the cheeks and jawline. It is important to note that the effect in the neck is noticeable only in patients with a thin neck.

What to expect after your procedure?

You will be seen in the dressing clinic in one week's time to remove the bandage and your dressings.

It is expected that you should be fully healed at this point, but sometimes bruising and swelling can last for another week.
