This is an interesting question, and not one which is easy to answer �� given there are a number of personal, professional, medical and sometimes emotional reasons why women consider plastic surgery.
This interesting article was one which caught our attention.
It highlights that many women visit cosmetic surgeons in the UK for treatments because they feel the need to change or alter part of their appearance to get ahead in the modern workplace.
This, of course, is only one reason why women undergo plastic surgery. The commonest reason I find is a personal dissatisfaction with a part of their body, either real or perceived, which hinders their self esteem.
These emotional motivators are very strong and some of the patients we see �� both male, female and across the whole age range �� will sacrifice money and time to have the surgeries they want.
