Young People Needed for BBC3 Documentry

BBC3 are currently looking for young people who want to change the way they look.

Firecracker Films, are an award winning television Production Company, who are producing a landmark 90-minute observational documentary for BBC Three following a diverse group of young people talking about how they feel about their appearance or body image and who are making a change.

They hope to follow around thirty young men and women nationwide, between roughly 16-27 years old, discussing a wide range of image issues; such as obesity, acne, excess hair or skin disorders. They will all be making a change to their bodies; whether that is having surgery, a treatment or a therapy, and in turn, documenting the lead up to these changes, and how the changes make them feel, on the outside and inside. The changes the young people will be making could be anything from a tattoo or piercing to a plastic or cosmetic surgery.

Over the course of the next three months, the young people featured in the documentary will film their own physical transformation, sharing their honest thoughts, fears and highs along the way. This is a chance for young individuals to document their own take on their appearance and share their stories with other young people who may be going through similar experiences in a more personal and intimate style. There will be no crew so the footage filmed will be filmed by the individual themselves - This gives a much more intimate and personal feel to the documentary and allows those involved to be as honest and open as they wish. It is also a chance to document and showcase the wide variety of treatments, surgeries and therapies available, and follow how the results can affect people's lives. There are ways to film procedures such as cosmetic and plastic surgery which they can discuss with each individual so that they can offer the best overview of the experience without disruption.

The young people taking part will document the lead up to these transformations - both emotionally and physically - following any consultations, any treatments, the changes and how these changes make them feel.

The participating individuals can receive preferential ratesfor their treatments.

If you are eligible and wish to be considered for the programme, email us at enquiry@cckat.com with a short description of your name, age, occupation and treatment request.
